flyagogo.net provides the aviation community with a simple platform to share your favorite flying destinations, stories, photos, links, events, and everything that is of interest to the community. Read the FAQ (frequently asked questions) below or get started right away:
Q: What kind of information can I post?
A: Everything that is of interest to pilots! For example: A description of the airport and its surroundings,
interesting events (airport day, fly-ins, etc.), good or bad experiences with an FBO, restaurant recommendations,
or just an exciting story about your last flight to that airport. You can also leave comments on other
people's destinations. Be creative!
There are only a few things that
must not be posted, including advertisements for products or
services, inappropriate or copyrighted material, or things that are not of general interest to pilots.
See the complete posting rules for details.
Q: What happens after I post a destination?
A: The posting will be associated with an airport. Whenever someone
is searching for a nearby airport, or is making a flight plan that
contains this airport, the posting will automatically be displayed.
There is also an advanced destinations search which allows users to
search for destinations within a certain radius of an airport. To
make sure that your destinations will be seen we will ping more than
a dozen blogging websites and search engines notifying them of the
new content. The sites notified include technorati.com, weblogs.com,
My Yahoo!, feedster.com and many others.
Q: Can I edit a posting after I posted it
A: Yes, postings can be edited by the poster up to one week after
they are posted. To do this, log in to flyagogo.net, search for
your posting, and click on the edit link (it will appear only for
your own postings and only if you are logged in). This allows you
to correct any mistakes. If you want to share additional information
about your destination after that time period, you are encouraged to
write another post or append comments to your post.
Q: Will flyagogo.net edit my postings?
A: In general postings will not be edited as long as they are
consistent with the posting
rules. If for whatever reason a posting needs to be edited we
will consult you first. The idea is to provide pilots with an
open platform to share information.
Q: Why can't I upload and post photos for my destination?
A: Uploading of photos and text formatting features are currently only supported with
recent versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, and Netscape browsers.
With Opera and Safari browsers you can only enter unformatted text.
Q: My question was not answered here!
A: Send your question to info@flyagogo.net.
